Abstract:

انسان در ابتدا و انتهای زندگی، بیش از هر زمان دیگری در معرض خطر بیماریهای عفونی قرار دارد شاید به سهولت نتوان برای کهولت تدبیری اندیشید ولی ابزار ما برای مقابله با بیماریهای عفونی در کودکان بیشتر است و لذا می توان گفت مهمترین دوره عمر به لحاظ گستردگی و عمق بیماریها از طرفی و کارائی های درمانی و ظرفیت پیشگیری به واسطه توانمندی دفاعی از طرف دیگر دوره کودکی را ممتاز می سازد. یکی از این بیماریهای عفونی که هر چند سال یکبار به صورت همه گیری بروز می کند اوریون می باشد. اوریون یک بیماری ویروسی حاد و منتشر در تمام دنیا بوده که بیشتر در کودکان سنین مدرسه و بلوغ رخ می دهد. این بیماری معمولا با بزرگی و دردناک شدن غدد بزاقی بخصوص پاروتیدها تظاهر می کند و معمولا خوش خیم و خود بخود محدود شونده است . شدت بیماری همراه با بالارفتن سن افزایش می یابد.
